Sounds of the Season Advent Calendar-Hybrid

What a better way to Countdown to Christmas or any other seasonal holiday, than by the songs that are sung?  If you are a musical family, you can pick some favorites to sing together each day.  If you aren't really into singing as a family, then you can pick some of your favorites to play and listen to each day. 

This can be used with religious songs of the season, or the non-religious songs of the season, or even a mixture of the two!  I have included in the zips an idea list for both traditional Christian Christmas songs, and the traditional Santa and St. Nick fun songs to help you get some ideas on those.

The choice of what you put in these boxes is up to you.  For some really interesting fun maybe you can hide actual sounds in these boxes...like a jingle bell to ring, packing bubble wrap to pop, wrapping paper to crinkle, some candy to unwrap, and maybe put the crackle of a fire...or giggling children...or Santa's ho ho ho on a Flash drive in one of the boxes.  The limits of what to put in these boxes are restricted only by your own imagination!

This advent calendar is a printable made to fit the Karen Foster Designs Countdown Calendar.  It comes in png format printable for your computer at home...8 1/2 X 11.  It also comes in both png and jpg format printables for having them printed either as a 12 X 12 or as a 12 X 18...which is the size I like to print through Costco Photo Lab.
