One Christmas in Virginia, my parents were able to afford a big, big Christmas tree. It could touch the ceiling!  Well, we brought it home, leaned it next to the fireplace, then realized…we forgot the stand!!!!  This didn’t ruin our Christmas though, because my dad had this crazy idea of hanging our tree from a nail in the ceiling! LOL! When he was done, you couldn’t even tell, that we didn’t have a stand…My brothers and I sure enjoyed spinning our tree around and ’round that year!

So, Ive created this little hybrid project  in celebration of my family’s favorite Christmas memories.   Now you too, can spin your own Christmas tree .

Other Supplies:
8.5 x 11 paper
Scissors
Thread
Sewing needle
Assorted beads
Glitter (optional)
Diamond Glaze (optional)

Steps:
1.  Fit as many bracket pages in varied sizes, onto an 8.5 x 11 document, as possible. Print and cut out.

2.  Fold the bracket pages in half until you have 8 creases.

3.  Pinch in between each crease until you end up with 16 creases total.

4.  You can now stack all the folded bracket pages, to form a Christmas tree. Here you can stop.

5.  To create the mobile,  use an assortment of beads and a very long thread. Thread a long tale for the mobile.

6.  Pierce the needle through the centre of the folded bracket page (from underneath).

7.  Repeat this step, with all the remaining bracket pages.

8.  Make a loop by continuing to bead the remainder of the thread.  Leave enough thread to tie off the end.

9.  Don’t forget the glitz!  Glue dots along alternating creases; dip your finger tip into the glitter and then dab onto the glue dots. (Or, sprinkle glitter instead…but, be warned, this could get messy.   Be sure to place a sheet of paper underneath your work area to funnel the glitter back  into it’s bottle when you’re finished.)

You’re ready to display your Christmas Tree Mobile in your car, in your window, on your lamp at work, on the front porch or right on your Christmas tree as an ornament!

Happy Holidays!
