Mini Candy Bar Wrappers

Mini Candy Bar Wrappers - by April Dawn Creations

Have you been wondering what to do with the leftover Halloween candy?  Do you have a holiday party coming up that you would LOVE to have a party favour for? Well then, the Kjoi newsletter came just in time!!

Steps:
1.  Measure the width of the candy bar you are wrapping.

2.  Cut a strip of scrap paper the width you just measured.

3.  Starting at the back of the candy bar, wrap the scrap paper around the candy bar all the way to the back and overlap at the back by about 1/2 inch.  This is your measurement for the “Height” you will need.  Cut the strip of paper to the right height

4.  Take those two measurements, (the first for the width and the second for the height) and open a new file in your digi-scrapping software with those dimensions.

5.  You now have your template for the wrapper. Using your choice of digi-papers and elements, decorate your wrapper. (I used items from the Kjoi Birthday Collaboration Kit in the store.) If you want you can save one or two elements to cut out and add after printing…items like the flower on top of mine. *To make sure I knew where things would end up, I created a “middle line” on mine temporarily*

6.  Print your wrappers…I would first save your completed wrapper as a jpg file and then create an 8.5×11 file. Move the wrapper over to the larger file and copy it as many times as you can fit. Then save this as your final jpg and print. (This saves you on paper and time.) *I recommend printing your wrapper on a lightweight cardstock or plain paper to make it easier to wrap around your candy bar.*

7.  Using your favourite adhesive to attach the wrapper to the candy bar…overlapping in the back…just like you did when you measured your template. Put adhesive between the overlapping layers. And…there you have it!! Now do this as many times as you need to get the number you want…and ENJOY!!
