Using a Palette Generator by Vanessa Fellows

If you run a quick internet search, you will come across numerous websites that offer colour palette generating services. These web based colour generating programmes can be universally used no matter what Graphics Programme you use:

For the purposes of this tutorial I have used the colour palette generator at Big Huge Labs - http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/colors.php

Step 1: Access the Big Huge Labs site in your internet browser and click on the “Browse” button to navigate to the picture you wish to use on your computer’s hard drive.

Step 2: Click on the “Create” button and after a couple of minutes your photo will be processed by the palette generator which will then produce a fifteen colour palette, complete with Hexadecimal coding that is sympathetic with your original picture.
