Supplies needed for this tutorial:
Paintshop Pro (any version should work with minor changes in setings)
No outside filters or plugins required.
-first of all of course open up psp
-wait for everything to load…LOL..LOL
-Locate the picture or graphic you want to frame. The one I’m using is of my mum. You may have to resize the longest side to 1800 pixels.
-Duplicate the original and close it to work on again at another time, but keep the copy open to use in a bit.
-go to File>Open>New
You want a 6 X 6 inch (or 1800 X 1800 pixel) area to work in.
-leave it on the work space or minimize it for when you are ready to pop it behind your glass charm.
-now to make your glass charm this is what I did.
-open a second new work space about 6 inch x 6 inch at 300 pixels per inch resolution with a transparent raster background
-then i went into Effects>Artistic Effects>Magnifying Lens
-first of all you want no magnifying effect so you can change that to 0
-leave the refraction option as is
-and you want a spherical or round lens type and that should already be checked off in the green circle
-ignore the properties and illumination tabs
-then go into the frame tab and chose whatever frame type you want from the material option and the colour of the frame too
-then you are ready to click ok
-you should then have a nice round glass charm to stick your pic under
- using the Magic Wand set to tolerance=0 and feather also =0
-select anywhere outside of your frame
-Selections>Invert
-Layers>New Raster Layer
-Layers>Arrange>Send to Bottom
-Activate your image copy and then Edit>Copy
-Activate your graphic with the frame and Edit>Paste>Paste into Selection
-just a side note here you can add anything under the glass charm-
little sprinkles of glitter or confetti, small flowers just about anything!!
-and it is that easy
-here is an example of what i did with it..i made this as part of my mums
60th Birthday invitation
-pretty neat huh???
