The Gallery
We have recently switched over from the old Coppermine based gallery to a new Photopost gallery. Some of you may be familiar with Photopost galleries, but there will be others who are not. We have therefore put together some notes to guide you through the login process and what you may expect to see in the gallery. Also how to find your way around the gallery, set up personal albums and post to multiple gallery albums too.
Logging into the Gallery
From the main KJoi Home Screen, or the Forum home page, click on “Gallery” and you will be transferred to the New KJoi Gallery. Although your User name and Password are the same for both the Forum and the Gallery, and you don’t register separately, you will have to log into both areas separately in order to upload layouts or comment on other people’s layouts.
Please click on the screenshot for an enlarged view.
You will find the “Log In” section, on the right hand side of your screen below the KJoi header. Click on the “Login” button and enter your Username and Password details into the dialogue box and then Click “Submit”.
Shortly after that you should see a small dialogue screen flash up telling you that your login was successful and you will then be automatically transferred into the gallery.
This is what the new Gallery Home Page looks like.

Commenting on Gallery Layouts
Here at KJoi, we actively encourage our members to leave a little love for others in the Gallery because we all know how discouraging it is if we have uploaded a layout, only to find 2-3 days later that no-one has left any comments on it. So work on the principal of “For every layout you upload, comment on at least two layouts in the gallery” and you can’t go wrong.
How do I comment on a layout?
That is really quite easy! When you see a layout that you particularly like, click on the layout thumbnail. This will take you to the layout file in the gallery. If you click on the layout in the file, you can view an enlarged version of the layout, and if you scroll down the page you can leave a comment in the “Add your comment” box. Then click “Submit” and your comment will be added to all the others that have been left on that particular layout.
Below the gallery navigation menu bar you will see that the screen is split into two unequal columns:
On the left hand side you will find:
Gallery statistics – This lists the number of members/users, photos/layouts, comments, views and the disk space used.
Calendar – Clicking on any highlighted day will take you to a listing of the layouts posted to the gallery on that particular day.
Top Posters – The five members who have the most layouts posted in the gallery. Clicking on their names will take you to their personal galleries.
Random Images – Random images from the gallery.
Highest Rated Layout – A listing of the five highest rated layouts in the gallery with links to each of the layouts.
On the right hand side you will see:
Recent Photos – The most recent uploads to the gallery.
Gallery Categories – The individual galleries to which you may upload. For example Member Galleries, Challenges, KJoi Studio Designers etc.
Random Images – Random images from the gallery.
Recent Comments – Some of the most recent comments made on layouts in the gallery.
Users Browsing the Gallery – A listing of which members are currently browsing the gallery.
