Editing your layouts
Having uploaded your layout to the gallery, it is possible to then make changes to your layout at a later date.
If you click on any of your layouts, you will see that lying immediately below your image is a section called “Photo Details”.

Please click screenshot for an enlarged view.
This section lists the credits that you have entered for the layout, your journalling that you entered, when the layout was uploaded and how many times it has been viewed.
In the “Additional Info” section you will your “Keywords” and any “Additional Categories” that the layout was uploaded to. There are also a series of small icon folders above the links “Edit Photos” and “Close Comments”, labelled 1 – 5 in the screenshot. These are covered in detail below.
Below that is a category called “Linked Thumbnail” with a URL address in the box and another small icon to the right hand side of it (labelled No 6 in the screenshot and covered in detail below).
At the bottom of the screen is “Comments” section where comments can be read and added by members.
Icons shown under Additional Info Section
1. “Favourites” If you are viewing someone’s layout and you particularly like it and would like to add it to your list of favourite layouts, then clicking this icon will do that for you. It also automatically generates a message for the owner of the layout informing them that you have added their layout to your list of favourites.
2. Post a Comment This small icon will automatically take you to a new comments box so that you can post a comment on the layout. This is especially helpful if the layout concerned has many already received a lot of comments in that it means that you don’t need to scroll down through them to find the comments box.
3. Report Photo This is the icon that you use if a photo/layout has been posted that contains offensive material.
4. Receive Email Updates This icon enables you to turn on and turn off email notifications of comments received on a particular layout.
5. Print View This icon enables you preview your layout before printing it.
Edit Photo – Clicking on this link will take you to the Gallery Image Editor. From this screen you can change certain features of your layout.
For example: You can upload a replacement image for the one that you have already uploaded – useful if you make changes to your original layout. You can change the categories, title and keywords for your layout. You can add to or remove items from your photo description and you can delete your layout.
Please be careful however, because if you delete your layout, that change is irreversible.
Having made your changes, press the “Submit Changes” button to finalise your changes.
Close Comments This link enables you to close or open the comments facility on your layout, thus preventing or enabling comments.
6. Show Codes – This little icon is found alongside the “Linked Thumbnail” box. When it is pressed a new section will appear in between the “Additional Info” and the “Comments” sections. In this section you will find the following codes.
Linked Medium; Medium Image; HTML Code and Direct Link.
Of these four codes, the only two you really need concern yourself with are the HTML Code and the Direct Link Code.
HTML Code – Using this code in a forum post, places a copy of your layout within your forum posting.
Direct Link – This code inserted into your forum post places a direct link to your layout in the gallery within your posting. This link is useful if you are posting on another website as a link back.
